How the score works

Score = 4 × correct answers − incorrect answers

Example: 35 correct, 10 incorrect and 15 unanswered.

(35 × 4) − 10 = 130 marks out of 240.

This is an illustrative calculation, not a score prediction or an admission cutoff.

Turn the pattern into a practice routine

Manage the whole paper

During practice, note how long each subject takes. Use the full test duration to learn when to move on and when to return.

Review wrong answers

Distinguish a missing concept from a calculation error, misread condition or unsupported guess. Each calls for a different fix.

The study suggestions above are editorial guidance. Use the current official mock test and admit-card instructions for the actual exam interface and procedures.

Score, rank and admission are different.

The official 2026 ranking uses the total score out of 240. Not every test-taker receives a rank, and receiving one does not guarantee a seat.

Do not treat a past closing rank as a guaranteed target. Offers depend on rank, category, preferences, available seats and the counselling round.
